Why four angles
Hairline cues live up front. Crown coverage shows on top. Temples and sides need a profile. The back catches what a bathroom mirror never shows. One angle leaves blind spots; four make a complete page.
The checklist
- Light: soft, even, indirect — same place every time.
- Hair: dry, loose, minimal product on scan day.
- Distance: step back so the full head fits; do not crop differently next month.
- Order: front → top → side → back (or keep any fixed order you can repeat).
- Date: save the set the same day so the page is honest.
Common mistakes
- Flash or harsh overhead bulbs that exaggerate scalp show-through.
- Wet hair right after a shower.
- Mixing a close crop one month with a wide shot the next.
- Skipping an angle and hoping the main photo covers it.
